Marketing and Communications Manager

2019 to Current – The Centre for Indigenous Theatre

This is a role in which I am tasked with wearing many, many, many hats. I am responsible for all of the art and creative direction. I am also responsible for managing all social media and digital channels, fundraising, marketing and traditional communications content. I am also responsible for marketing and communications for a joint project that CIT has engaged in with two other performing arts schools in Canada. I’ve been making videos, redefining the brand, redesigning and building the website, as well as writing and distributing social media content. I’ve also been able to dig further into grant applications and other Government funding and relations projects.

Creative Lead (Sole-proprietorship)

2014 to Current –

Film/video and audio content development, pre-production, production and post-production, design, photography. And of course creative and art direction, developing content & strategy, A/V support for live events and design/stage direction presentations.

Art / Creative Director

2013 to 2014 – MediaStyle

Working with and enabling content creation for all sorts of corporate clients, public services, policy think tanks, individual politicians, political parties and NPO’s. But, again with a small team in a boutique agency environment in downtown Ottawa, doing all the things that I’m known to be able to do.

Communications Officer

2010 to 2013 – Canada’s New Democrats

This position originated in the NDP’s Ottawa HQ. My role was to develop a professional and responsive video and multimedia solution within Jack Layton’s communications team. After the 2011 election my position was moved into the Government of Canada Official Opposition and Caucus Support offices, where the work was primarily the same, but providing broader support for the NDP Official Opposition Caucus.
